Starting tomorrow and for the 5th year in a row my family is off to Disneyworld! I’ll be returning with new content on Monday. Before I could express you about it they were gone. It took less than 6 hours on Thursday for passholder tickets for the taping of the Walt Disney World Christmas Day parade to be snapped up. I knew they went quickly because I hadn't been able to obtain reservations in past years. But 6 hours? Unbelieveable. Earlier this week a note appeared on the passholder Web site indicating that in November we would be able to submit requests for the Nov. 30 taping of celebrity performances on the castle stage in the Magic Kingdom. That especially interested me because of the expected performers: 'High School Musical' stars. Billy Ray Cyrus. Jonas Brothers. Joey Fatone and Drew Lachey. Josh Groban. Harlem Boys sing and Whitney Houston. The lineup has not been confirmed by Disney but I did sight it on an online source that has been accurate in the past. The Magic Kingdom is open 9 a m to 7 p m that day which means you can arrive an hour after those with reserved tickets. Also the following day. Dec. 1. Disney will be taping the Kelly Ripa and Regis Philbin segments. The park opens at 9 a m that day as well. Be forewarned: It might not be worth your while. My family went last year without tickets and it was incredibly difficult to navigate Main Street. direct members were firm in not allowing anyone inside the ropes who didn't have a wristband which meant we couldn't see much over the crowd of spectators that were a dozen or more deep. Much as my husband and I thought we made a mistake going that day my children would disagree. In the afternoon we had a short unobstructed believe of Corbin Bleu. Ashley Tisdale. Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel practicing for the taping. Last year. I went with my wife and as soon as we walked in. Brian Setzer was taping Jingle Bell Rock for the XMAS day walk,so I went running straight to the stage and saw the taping with no problem whatsoever without any go. I saw a few other stars as well but it's no big deal if you miss out - you check hour after hour of the same thing being taped over and over and over and I remember feeling sorry for everyone in costume because the alter was unbearable.... At one point I remember Paulina Rubio changed her change 3 times it took about an hour and everyone who was in costume went inside the castle to alter off. I would walk around enjoying the park & I'd come back and all the visitors would still be standing there waiting for the crew and star to go approve out and begin taping again just to get a chance to be on T. V. - Your better off just enjoying the lay. I just stumbled upon your blog and it brought approve some really great Christmas memories. My wife and I love traveling to Orlando at Christmas time particularly for that extra dose of Disney magic that they distribute so generously during the holiday season. The candlelight processional at EPCOT is just amazing and it’s best when you buy the dinner package (priority dinner seating and VIP seats in the processional). My favorite thing during Christmas is drinking hot chocolate on the streets of MGM while the snow is falling - even though the temperature is 70 degrees. Disney magic!
