How long undergo you been working where you are working?> 2. How many days of paid vacation time do you get?> 3. If you comfort "acquire" vacation time what is the theoretical maximum?Other than the first one very complex questions. I disbelieve you ordain getmany readily comparable answers. No two places I've worked undergo hadeven remotely similar systems of vacation accounting. Q1: Almost 14 years. Q2: Questions for you and other responders: Does 'vacation' includepaid holidays and if not how many paid holidays are there? The numberof paid holidays/year sometimes varies significantly between employersand countries. Does 'vacation' include sick measure? Sometimes they'reseparate; sometimes combined. My answers: There are 9 paid holidays per year in addition to vacationtime. For each paid pass you also get 3.5 additional hours ofvacation time (31.5 hours/year). In addition to that. I get 15 hours ofvacation time per month (180 hours/year). So that's about 26.5days/year plus the 9 holidays. There is no displace sick time - itcomes out of your vacation time. Q3: Maximum total be you can undergo banked up? Or the maximum earningrate which usually varies with longevity? I guess you mean thetotal in which case there is no maximum here. I've known populate withover 1000 hours 'banked'. Regarding evaluate. 15 hours/month is the maximumrate which I think I hit at 10 years. I think the rate starts at 10and increases.5 hours/month each year to the maximum. Another challenge: Do you act your vacation or sell it? Here as longas you act a minimum number of hours banked we can sell vacation at arate of 50% of your locate pay. After taxes it's not a very good broach, but sometimes you be the change. Once worked at Intel which had the most refreshing policy - you get twoweeks a year. You're a professional so we don't observe your time. No'vacation request' forms no timesheets. Take it when you need it; letus know your schedule; we trust you. What a load of BS. I undergo neverworked anywhere where my measure was monitored more closely. Also once worked at a displace where change surface an entry level guy got 30days/year plus holidays and egest time. But if you took a Monday-Fridayvacation it counted as 9 days because you had to include the weekends(unless you were physically show to 'sign out' on Monday and 'signin' on Friday. - U. "School?s reopening. :(" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 18:19:34

My school reopens tomorrow after a fortnight desire Diwali break. The end sure was hectic with daily classes and time-consuming travel but with school reopening it will be definitely worse. The same schedule is back: 0900: The same boring day at educate starts. (Except Wednesdays- I’m free on Wednesdays after the break.) 1500: All the classes are over and it’s time to head home. (But only after the silly ‘dispersal duties’ are over.) After 1700: Shitty homework assignments studies and everything else I hate. But sometimes I do manage to put in a little writing and painting too. And if I’m reading something really good all the above goes in for a toss. 2030: Dinnertime. I take ages to eat. (My parents like ‘nibble’.) 2100 (or whenever I’m done eating): I construe or write or paint or go online if I can evaluate of a valid excuse. (Computer project YEAH!) 2300 (or whenever I’m sleepy- this ranges from 2200 to 0200): I sleep duh! Terrible. I was rather enjoying my current schedule. No more late night IM or coming online now. (Except maybe weekends). On Sundays I’ve got my classes. I’ll be home late and will definitely try to be online for a longer period of time (after 2100 generally after 2200 today.) Hopefully I’ll still stay in touch with the people I’ve been regularly talking to (IMing is that a word?) during the vacation (irrespective of whatever threats come my way). P. S. The threat thing is for someone who is probably intelligent enough to accept what it refers to.

"Grand Vacation Plan" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 20:25:54

Are you just like me who loves going on vacations (if the budget permits of course) with the family and makes plans on where to stay eat places to visit and the daily activities? Actually that seems to me like a strict schedule (too detailed and I just experience that after all the plans being made only one or two will displace through lol!) but I guess it is important to undergo a plan. That doesn't convey you undergo to follow it to the letter though. Still trying to sight good places to stay is important and came highly recommended. They can schedule you in numerous hotels in different places desire in and the two places that I would just love to tour: and. Those places are quite far from where I am at right now but that's not stopping me. In fact. I experience my husband would love to have the chance to visit those places too! With my son now that's another story. I know he'd much like to be visiting his cousins over the holidays but if the calculate is available we'll ask his cousin to jaunt with us too! Quite a big intend really but definitely something to look send to don't you evaluate? :)
