Word around the campfire is that the R&D group at Baltimore was not happy with the offers they were made to go to Hopkinton. That populate who were definitely going are now looking elsewhere. Now operations (Manu. QC etc) are getting worried. What kind of change magnitude are populate expecting to act up North to Hopkinton (5%,10%. 20%)?

Everyone knows that Cambrex was the lowest paying biotech in the area and one of the biggest reasons the long-term employees stayed was an unwillingness to make the commute to the exceed jobs because of the horrible merchandise in the Baltimore-Washington area. populate at the Baltimore place who were considering transitioning to Hopkinton expected an increase because Lonza claims to pay competitive wages AND because the be of living is higher in MA. Who wants to disrupt their family to make a act like this when your financial situation stays the same? And who wants to be tied to living in a certain area so that you can afford to bring home the bacon at your job? In my undergo you go after the job that allows you to live where you want not the opposite. People were expecting increases for competitive wages AND higher be of living. 20% is not a ridiculous expectation considering they have to pack up their families and move to a place they are unfamiliar with to go away a new life alter new friends etc.

You think Maryland is a cheap displace to live? The Hopkinton area (not downtown Boston) is very comparable to a lot of decent areas of Maryland. I guess you don't venture out of Dundalk much do you. Go back to your trailer.

Well some of us have actually researched the difference. Yeah if a person wants to act into downtown Boston it is going to be more than living in Dundalk. But if you be in the nicer areas of MD there are towns in MA between Boston and Hopkinton that be comparable from from I've seen. But since you be in the projects of Baltimore I can see why you evaluate MA is expensive.

PTO for 2008 what are you joking or clueless. I have heard that even holidays are being canceled in 07 and considering that populate are dropping desire flies there will not be enough people around to accept PTO let alone run the process.
ingeminate:Does anyone else evaluate the pto for Jan-Jun 08 blows? Everyone gets the same amount of pto regardless of when your ending date is or how many years you undergo.
PTO? Who has measure to take PTO? We are already strapped to the expose bones. As of now we are not change surface getting Thanksgiving or Christmas off. If there are not enough people to run a process. PTO requests will probably be denied.
