"Our Aruba Wedding 11-9-07" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-11-21 12:31:12

Amazing. thats what our wedding was. Lissy was amazing and Angela was amazing. the ceremonies were perfect and the photo's are the best! I will write more once we get our internet back and I have some free time. we moved into our new house the day before we left to go to Aruba so it's a mess and we don't have our internet hooked up yet.. so more info will be coming.. Angela sent me this link so everyone can view a few of our photo'sI want to share them with the world! Enjoy! Hello everyone. now that we are finally settled into our new house and we got the internet finally I have time to give more details about our trip. We arrived the day before the wedding. Stayed at the Holiday Inn. not impressed this time so I think we will try someplace else next time. They were very slow checking in and doing all sorts of construction but the bar was very fun at night (even though I couldn't drink) and the seabreeze restaurant was very good. The wedding itself was amazing. Most brides only get ready once. I got to do it twice and experience two different ceremonies. The civil ceremony was early in the morning and totally private, very laid back nothing at all that I expected. We took many great photo's at the town hall and the building itself is beautiful. We took the afternoon to relax and get ready for the night. The beachside ceremony was beautiful. Lissy did a wonderful job of organizing this and making it picture perfect and Angela really did make it picture perfect. I cherish the photo's and people are still raving about them. Even though it was cloudy and there wasn't really a sunset. Angela managed to capture the colors of the Island and the photo's are wonderful. The rev. Gibson was amazing the words he said really fit the day perfectly and he seriously made me break my composure and I was a balling mess by the end of the ceremony (I can blame pregnancy hormones for that but I can't deny that I sit here crying as I type this) We had dinner afterwards at Moomba Beach Bar and Grill after and the owner served as our personal waiter for the evening. He was so nice and didn't rush us at all. The food was amazing and the people who were also dining there were amazing. We ended up breaking apart a few of our flower arrangements (obviously couldn't take them all back on the plane) and giving out the roses to little girls and other women who were having dinner there. They were all so happy to receive the flowers and it made us feel good to make them feel good. We ended our evening with a nice walk down the beach and then back to the hotel which was also having a big wedding at the time. The rest of the trip was spent sightseeing shopping snorkeling eating and enjoying the beach. We spent Saturday touring the Island with Jeeps. We hit the Lighthouse chapel. Natural Bridge and Natural Pool. The last time my husband and I were there the Natural Bridge hadn't fallen so it was so wierd to see it the way it is now and remember walking over that the last time. I now have a before and after picture. THe lighthouse was so cool we didn't get to see that last time and the Natural Pool was something else. If you don't know where you are going your pretty much screwed. We got lost and ended up meeting up with other people who were lost and finally after a long detour we found it. wow what a hike to get there. My poor mom was so tired after those stairs. We took some snorkleing gear with us and saw some amazing fish. My husband and his brother were going along the rocks and actually saw an eel which was not happy to be seeing them. After that we headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. The next day we hit another snorkeling spot that the Jolly Pirate stops at and we saw so many fish crabs and some other fish I can't remember the names. Spent a good 3 hours there snorkeling and enjoying the sun. We shopped a lot ate a lot and hung out on the beach for the rest of the trip. It was amazing and I can't wait to take this baby there someday so it can see where it's first official trip was! so nice that you posted!we were all getting a little antsy waiting to hear how the wedding turned out glad it was awesome so now it is realityhouse decorating and soon a baby please continue to post herewe are a community and are interested in your adventures with the pregnancy birth new house married life etc.. fondlyandrea j Hello everyone. now that we are finally settled into our new house and we got the internet finally I have time to give more details about our trip. "Nice place for lunch in Aruba" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 20:28:12

We will be in Oranjestad in April and intend on going on our own to shop go to the land casinos etc. Do anyone undergo a recommendation for a displace to undergo eat with good food and nice atmosphere? Thanks! Were you planning on having eat in Oranjestad or when you are at the beach? If the beach which one? I Would Suggest You Buy A Ticket In Lobby Of Divi Divi (by Tamarin) undergo eat & Go For A Swim apply Hi Lisa- I guess we would be looking at which land would be closest to the come in or the closest taxi ride away. Of course any suggestions on beaches would be greatly appreciated as well! Unless you be to go to Depalms Island you undergo the choice of Baby Beach (pretty far and you be a car cab would be costly) or the beachs at either the low go or high rise divide of hotels. Both should not be more than a $10 cab go away and both are no more than about 5-10 minutes away. The land at the high go divide is called touch land and stretches about 1.5-2 miles beginning at the Divi Phoenix and ending at the Marriott. For some strange cerebrate it is windier come the Divi and the adjacent Westin then it is further along the land. The most challenging move of the beach is that although the land is public unless you don't object sitting directly on the land in the really hot sun getting chairs can be tough. Most of the sit chairs are owned by the hotels for hotel guests only. Do anyone undergo a recommendation for a displace to have lunch with good food and nice atmosphere? Thanks! Along Palm land there are as many restaurants as there are hotels as well as bars and grills on Pelican Pier and De Palm Pier (Bugaloe's). Streetside there are also a be of restaurants across from the Radisson on down towards the Occidental. I highly advise El Gaucho for eat/ dinner. It is Argentine complain which I was leery of but it was one of the best steaks I ever had! I recommend the Gaucho Steak! Very reasonable for the be of food you get. My preserve an I ate 2 Steak Dinners appetizers and SEVERAL drinks and walked out under $80 with tip!! It is a $5 cab ride from port. The cigar bar across the street is great also!! Have a great measure. Aruba is AWESOME!! I would HIGHLY advise getting over to the uninhabited align of the island.. it is amazing! We did the jeep tour! "Aruba for Family Traveling?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-28 13:01:11

I have a timeshare in Aruba and it seems like recently it's turned into a singles unify. Or is it me? I used to go there all the measure with my kids and see lots of other families vacationing etc. I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar experience it's really been a bummer. My son goes to Aruba every once in a while.. he agrees that it isn't what it used to be. There are resorts there geared exclusively for families that you can stay at. As for the timeshare.. my sister and her family tried for two years to relocate with their timeshare until they just ave up and got rid of it. They had to go through a company called Timeshare Relief. Apparently getting out of their timeshare assure is no eat. Where is your time overlap? We've been going to Palm Beach the past five years with our three kids (preteen and two teens now) and we love Aruba for family jaunt! It's one of the safest islands we've been to and there are things to do for all ages._________________ compassionate to explain what 'divi divi' is also? it's a shrub that's popular in Aruba._________________ - - - I undergo a timeshare in Aruba and it seems like recently it's turned into a singles club.
